What is the role of epoxy floor mortar layer in construction?
1. Increase the compressive and wear resistance of the bottom surface. Although the mortar layer is not exposed midway, it can form a protective barrier above the concrete, thereby increasing its wear resistance. Floor paint material is essentially a film coating formed through curing reaction, with limited wear resistance. The role of the intermediate mortar layer compensates for this deficiency. From this point of view, we believe that the construction of the intermediate mortar layer is necessary. 2. The intermediate mortar layer can increase the thickness of the bottom surface, making its quality better. Whether it is primer or topcoat, the wear resistance is actually very limited. If the thickness of the bottom surface is not enough, the wear and pressure resistance will still be greatly weakened. Establishing a middle coating can increase the thickness of the floor. 3. Reduce the cost of construction materials. The intermediate coating, which is exposed to the outside, does not have any impact on aesthetics and therefore does not require color, thus reducing the addition of color powder materials. From this perspective, the intermediate coating reduces the cost of raw material usage.
